We believe that ministry is about more than programs and cannot be reduced to what we do for each other during a few hours each week. Ministry is about loving, serving, encouraging, and equipping. It is people work, so it happens everywhere we live, learn, work, and play. Ministry is about helping each other look and live more like Jesus.
Worship Gatherings are central in the life of our church. When we pray, read God’s Word, sing, share stories, baptize, and celebrate the Lord’s Supper, we meet with God, grow in Him, and give Him the praise and worship He is due. Our worship centers on the exposition of God’s Word (i.e. biblical preaching) as the primary tool He uses to help us know Him.
Nursery is provided during worship gatherings for infants – 2 year old’s. Please ask at our welcome desk if you’d like help finding the nursery.
Children’s Church is provided for our 1st – 6th graders. They will be released during the worship gathering before the message. The Kids’ staff will meet them outside the auditorium when they are released.
Discipleship Hour begins at 9:15. We offer a wide range of classes for every age from toddlers to adults. Our kids use a curriculum called The Gospel Project. The rest of us focus on areas of Christian living like prayer, encouragement, how to share your faith, how to study the Bible, etc.
Kids Club is a dynamic and fun ministry geared for Kids. We meet on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30pm during the Fall through Spring. Kids Club is for preschoolers (4 years old) through 6th grade.
Youth Group (7th – 12th grade) meets on Sunday nights from 6 to 7:45pm during the school year. Teens are welcome to come early and stay late. During youth group, we build relationships that lead to lasting influence. Our youth ministry mission is to help students go from lost to leading for the glory for God.
Life Groups provide the close-knit spiritual family we all need. Through these groups, we encourage each other and stay accountable, so that we grow in Christ and do not drift. We are transformed through spiritual disciplines like Bible study, fellowship, accountability, and prayer. And the world is transformed as we bring the light of Christ to the places we live, learn, work, and play. Our groups follow a 1-4-1 pattern of 1 social activity, 4 group meetings, and 1 outreach activity every 6 weeks.
Biblical Counseling is provided free of charge to everyone. We believe that God’s Word has answers for every problem we face in life, so our trained counselors are blessed to share this help and hope with those who need it. Please check out our website: orangevillebiblicalcounseling.com.
