Below is a short description of each of our ministries. We thank the Lord for the many ways He has allowed us to serve Him but really these are just the tip of the iceberg. Space would not allow for us to tell you about all the ways in which our church family sacrificially loves one another and the community of Orangeville. You see, we believe that ministry does not equal programs and cannot be reduced to what we do for each other a few hours on Sunday. Ministry is about loving, serving, encouraging, and forgiving one another. In other words, the real work of God is people work and this can happen anytime, anywhere. Perhaps to summarize all of this we could say: Everything we do is focused on the goal of helping all of us grow in Christ together.
Corporate Worship is the central ministry of our congregation designed to promote a sense of joy in what God has done for us in Jesus. Our worship focuses upon the exposition of God’s Word (i.e., biblical preaching) as the primary tool to bring us and others to a knowledge of our Great God and our need to respond to Him. Prayer, the reading of the Word, congregational singing, testimonials, and the ordinances serve to draw our attention to God and give us opportunities to worship to Him.
Nursery and Children’s Church are provided during the morning worship service. The Nursery is in room 101 for ages 0-2 years old. Children’s church is in room 102 for toddlers up to 1st grade.
Discipleship Hour begins at 9:30. We offer a wide range of classes for every age from toddler to adults. We meet for an hour to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Word of Life Clubs meet on Wednesday nights during the Fall through the Spring. This is available for pre-schoolers up to sixth grade. Our Word of Life club for teenagers in grades 7-12 meets on Sunday nights from 6-8pm.
Growth Groups provide the encouragement, correction and accountability we all need to keep us from drifting and cause us to grow in Christ. Our aim is for them to be transformational in three ways: (1) Transforming believers through Bible study, fellowship, accountability and prayer (2) Transforming unbelievers as we intentionally invite them to our groups where they can see the gospel in action (3) Transforming Orangeville as we intentionally seek out ways to be involved in our town and have a salt and light influence. They will follow a 1-4-1 pattern of 1 social activity each month, 4 group meetings, and 1 community activity.
Biblical Counseling is provided free of charge to everyone. We believe God’s word contains the solutions for all the spiritual problems of life and our pastor or one of our trained laymen would be privileged to serve you in this way. Please check out orangevillebiblicalcounseling.com
Church Membership is a crucial part of our ministry in that we believe every Christian should be committed to a good local church where he or she can be cared for in an atmosphere that encourages spiritual growth. If you are not a member of a Gospel-believing, Bible-preaching church, it would be our joy and privilege to serve you in this way. If you would like to inquire about becoming a member please contact the church for more information.
Food Pantry is available by appointment. If you or someone you know is in need please give us a call.
