For high school age and up – Financial Peace University- Begins Tuesday September 30 @ 7:00 p.m.

Alumni are free!  First timers are $93.  Nine weeks of power-packed information to help us find and

stay on the track of using money wisely!

Sunday October 5 – 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Barry jail ministry – sign up at the welcome center.

Our elections for 2015 servant leaders is October 26. Please turn in your nominations to a deacon.  The back of the bulletin gives a list of ministry offices.

Mentoring 1st – 6th grade children begins Wednesday afternoon October 1 after school.  See Ken and Mary Brinks if  you wish to donate food or money to buy food for this ministry.

Would someone or a group of people enjoy organizing the Samaritan Shoeboxes? This needs to be cared for well ahead of December.

Word of Life News If anyone would like to bring a snack for Olympians on a Wednesday night, there is a sign-up sheet on the welcome table.

November 2-4 (Sunday evening – Tuesday evening) with Nathan Pierpont and family and area pastors. We will receive offerings for their ministry.

Teen Club information:

We are kicking off the 2014-2015 WOL Teen Club Year.

  1. If your teen (or yourself) hasn’t ordered their quiet time, it is not too late.  Please see Rory Moore and he will

help you with that.

  1. Dates for the next few weeks:

September 27, 2014 – Hayride at the Vissers.  Meet at the church at 5:30 p.m.  We will return to the church

at 8:30 p.m.  If teens are driving directly to the Vissers, please be there by 6:00 p.m.

 

October 18 – ENGAGE (formerly known as TI)  Please be at the church at 9:00 a.m.  The meeting will be

held in Kalamazoo.  Meeting begins at 10:00 a.m., and we will return to the church approximately 1:00 p.m.

We will be going out to lunch before coming back to church.  This meeting is for leaders and ALL teens who

thinking about participating in Engage.  TI has not only changed its name, but the categories and categories

and guidelines/rules.  This meeting is important and will explain all of the changes.

 

October 18 – Corn Maze, Richland, Gull Meadow Farm.  Teens will need money for the cost of the corn

maze entry, and we will eat afterwards.

 

November 7, 2014 – REVERB (formerly Super Bowl).  Times and cost will be announced next week
